Which one to choose?
What is the difference between the group tour and the private tour?
The group tour costs €39 or $45 per person and is shared with other cruise guests. The private tour costs €390 or $449 per group of up to 15 guests, with a dedicated vehicle and guide and a pace you set yourself.
How do I know which tour fits my port call?
Do not go by the total length of the port call alone: usable time starts about 45 minutes after docking and ends one hour before sailing, so a 9-hour call leaves around 7 real hours. With a call under 5 and a half hours no group tour gets back in time and we put together a Private Ephesus Express instead. Between 5 and a half and 6 hours only the express format fits; from 6 to 7 and a half hours, the essentials tour; and with 7 and a half hours or more everything fits, including the full tour with the House of the Virgin Mary. On the booking page we work out your window from your ship's timetable and show you only the tours that get back in time.
Are entrance tickets included in the price?
No. Tickets are paid on tour day: Ephesus €40 or $46 (includes the Experience Museum), House of the Virgin Mary €15 or $17, Basilica of St John €6 or $7. The Temple of Artemis and Şirince are free.
